After the success of last year, some of the country’s top chefs are teaming up again at this year’s festival to host The Big Cornish Breakfast.
Culinary A-listers including Rick Stein, Paul Ainsworth, Mitch Tonks, Brian Turner, and Angela Hartnett will cook and serve breakfast to 70 people on the final day of the festival.
The menu will feature a selection of locally-produced food and drink supplied by stallholders from our Christmas market.
“We’re going to keep it simple and let the food speak for itself,” said Mitch Tonks, who came up with the idea of hosting the charity breakfast.
“There’ll be baked eggs, smoked salmon, sausages, bacon, breads and jams, coffee and tea, and a glass of Cornish bubbles.
“Once the food’s on the table, all the other chefs will be on hand to serve and chat to everyone while they’re enjoying their breakfast.
“It’s the perfect way to showcase some of the wonderful produce which is on sale at the festival. It’s going to be very special.”
The Big Cornish Breakfast is being served in the Sharp’s Chefs Theatre at 9.30am on Sunday 8 December. Tickets are £45 each, and will go on sale at noon on Friday 1 November via Eventbrite.
