We have a huge amount of information on our website, but below you will find the questions we are most frequently asked. It is worth signing up to our email newsletters on the bottom of this page for news, and following us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, where we post regular updates in the run up to, and during, the festival.

How do I get tickets for the demos?

Tickets for demos in the Sharp’s Chefs Theatre will be available in the theatre approximately one hour before the demo starts. The tickets are free, but a donation for local charities would be much appreciated. These events are always popular so make sure you arrive in plenty of time to grab a seat. No tickets are required for demonstrations on the Festival Stage. Everyone must leave the theatres between each demo. For full details of all demos, see http://www.padstowchristmasfestival.co.uk/demonstration-chefs.

Where can I park?

The town’s pay and display car parks will be open, apart from the Padstow Harbour Commissioner’s car park on the quayside, which is where the main festival marquees will be set up. The park and ride service will be in operation (weather permitting), and is located on the main road into Padstow, just before Tesco, postcode PL28 8EX. For further details about getting to the festival, see http://www.padstowchristmasfestival.co.uk/getting-to-the-festival/.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, dogs are not allowed in the festival marquees (except guide dogs) for health and safety reasons:

  • Hygiene issues with food and drink in the marquees.
  • The marquees can become busy, and dogs can cause a trip hazard.
  • The busy marquees can be stressful for your dogs.

However, please note that dogs are welcome in many shops and restaurants in the town.

What time is the firework display?

Our spectacular firework display is held at 8.30pm on Friday evening. This will be preceded by the lantern parade at 6pm and Christmas carols at BinTwo at 7pm.

What about a Santa’s Grotto?

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a visit to see Santa. Our Santa’s Grotto is located by the red brick building on the opposite side of the harbour from the Christmas Market and chef demonstration marquees. It costs £3.50, and no pre-booking is necessary.

What is the cinema club?

At 6:30pm on the Friday evening, between the end of the lantern parade and the firework display, the Festival Stage will be open to families to watch a festive film. Tickets are free, and will be available from the start of the lantern parade. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
